Hey,
I've always been a big soy products fan since it is a great source of protein for us "Protein-Lovers" and I always believed that soy meat or soy chunks (100g) contains:
312 kcal, 9g of carbs, 2g of fat and 42-49g of protein
as said on my soy boxes BUT when I talked to my vegetarian friend today she said that 100g of soy meat contains about 20-30g of CARBS! That was a big shock for me as you surely understand so I thought I'd ask you, protein experts:)
So what is the true?:) How much of NET carbs (carbs minus fibre and stuff) does soy meat consist of?:)

Are you talking about tofu? If so, heres a link to different carb counts in different types of tofu: http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/food/tofu/carbohydrate
If you're talking about faux meats, you'll have to check the package since lots of the fake meats can differ in carb counts. They bulk up the fake meats with grains most of the time.0 -

Well, tofu is made of soy juice, it's white and quite different from soy(a) meat. Soy meat/chunks look(s) like this:
