Exercise Diary - 14/01/13 - 20/01/13

Here it is the second week already!!
Unfortunately I do not think I will be able to do JM DVD's this week - I have what appears to be quite a bad injury.
It started 2 weeks ago with a bit of a twinge in my knee, carried on working out (taking it lighter than normal) then I pulled a muscle in m shoulder!! I continued to work through albeit not as high on my impact as usual - then two nights ago (early Sunday morning) I woke up and I literally could not move I felt paralysed it was the most scariest thing!!
I eventually managed to pull myself out of bed and my whole left side was numb from shouler to foot and my lower back on the left hand side was in a lot of pain!! Now two days later, my whole lower back and upper back is in a tremendous amount of pain and I can barely walk - so I think it would be best to listen to my body and rest!!
This does not mean you guys can't carry on, do not slack, I will recover and I will be back (docs tomorrow and sports massage by the end of the week) !!
So keep it up girls!!
I am still wearing my HRM from waking up to going to bed and any kcal burn that I am above my BRM (which is 1660kcal) I am going to class as extra burn and log as exercise - but it isnt going to be anywhere near what I usually burn :-(

OH MAN! I hope you get to feeling better! You definitely need to take a break until your body heals.

Nice one girls you are doing good!!
I am feeling pretty mardy about not being able to workout - but I need to remember that if I don't rest then I may be out for longer!!
I went to the doctor yesterday and she has confirmed that it isn't a slipped disc and is likely to be severe muscular trauma and my bodys way of telling me to take a break!! On some pretty strong painkillers to help me be able to continue moving whilst it exists because movement helps it to heal!!
Also I am going to a sports injury specialist tomorrow, I have a consultation with him for an hour he is going to check my body - alignments, muscle tone, slanty hips etc. and he is going to either suggest a course of rehabilitation treatments or (more likely) a deep tissue massage!!
So fingers crossed I should definitely be back on with the working out by next Monday - hopefully!!0 -

Wednesday - 30DS Level 1 and 2
Thursday - 30DS Level 3

I changed my previous schedule.... I was going to try and do 30 workouts of 30DS and then move on to another one.... But I just can't keep interest that long....

Firday - 30DS Level 1 and 2 - is now going to be Shred it with weights Level 1 and other half of NMTZ
Saturday - Rest - since I didn't work out Tuesday, Yoga Meltdown Level 1

The lower back injury seems to be getting better...
I have been taking the mix of pain killers for the last 3 days now and it is helping me to keep moving, which essentially will make it better!!
I have actually laid off the exercise since Saturday - usually I would have gone back to it by now, I would be trying to work through it but this time I am listening to my body and my doctors!! I am having a rest!!
Also I am having a deep tissue massage today - apparently I will probably feel battered an bruised for a couple of days following it but it should help get me better!!
Fingers crossed I will be able to start exercising by Monday - I shall ask my physio today what he thinks I should do abou getting back into exercise!!

I went and had a deep tissue massage on Thursday it was quite honestly, amazing!! I feel quite battered and bruised because it was pretty intense but I think I should be able to get back on the workouts tomorrow. I cannot wait!!
I am not sure which of JM workouts would be the better to do... I am thinking that NMTZ (because there is no impact e.g. jumping around) because it uses weights to tone the trouble zones but I also work up quite a bit of a sweat!!
Can't wait to join you all again - I Will be posting a new thread for Exercise Diary Week 3 on Sunday evening ready for Monday!!
