Armband will not turn on

My BodyMedia armband stopped working two days ago. When plugged into my laptop, the battery light flashes red on and off. Also, when I plugged it in, the SYNC program told me that the battery was charged to 37%. This didn't change.

I deleted the program and reloaded it.
I rebooted my computer.
I tried using a different USB cable to connect.
I plugged into a different USB port.

And now sadly, the light has stopped blinking. ;(

Do any of you have any other ideas? I'm hesitant to call customer service because I didn't purchase the band from them.

    That shouldn't matter. It's still their product and they got the money from whoever you bought it from.

    I would still call them. The same thing happened to me a year or so ago, and they replaced it. I didn't purchase it through them either, but I was able to show proof where I bought it (an Ebay user) and they replaced it free of charge. Call them, their customer service is awesome.
