Just wondering is goats cheese concidered dairy? I've tried online and finding mixed reviews. Anyone here Paleo that eats it? Or is it more for primal? I have been Paleo for 12 weeks, and have not had any dairy. If goat cheese is Paleo I would incorporate some into my diet, thanks!

It's more primal, and since it's a cheese made from milk, yes it's dairy.

    I love goat's cheese.

I found this link on MDA http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/thread20341.html

So delicious. I haven't had it since starting Paleo but I do plan to work some dairy back into my life next month :) can't wait to add it back to my salads!

Tastes great. Yes it's dairy. Still can't eat it without reaction. :(

thanks everyone! , I am not sure if I want to try it again, the only reason is my acne, I don't want it to flare up again, but heard sometimes goat cheese can be tolerated by people who cannot tolerate cow dairy....I may try a bit sometime....its not something I would eat all the time, very rarely, on my cauliflower pizza maybe a sprinkle.

Goats milk and goat cheese are wonderful, and if I wasn't doing a whole30 right now, I love to add goat cheese to omelets and salads. I live in a farming town so we have a goat farm down the street where we can get fresh goat milk, fresh cheese, or fresh goat meat (not my thing, but it's popular around here). I usually don't get as bloated feeling consuming goat milk and cheese as I do when I have conventional cow milk and cheeses

I kinda consider the whole Paleo/Primal debate much like Methodist/Baptist: 98% alike - but everyone focuses on the other 2%. ;)

While my dairy consumption has gone down tremendously since before my 'hunter/gatherer' days, I still use cheese/butter/yogurt on occasion. When I do, I use either goat or sheep dairy.

Thanks, gonna try a little goat, and see how it goes, and if it goes well, will be very minimal , and once in a while, hope it agrees with me

Yes it's dairy and yes people that have trouble with (cow) dairy can typically eat it with little to no issue. As I understand it, it's far closer to breast milk than your traditional moo juice.

I don't have a view on goat cheese. It's gone before I can look for it.
