Big Scare - post op

Had blood in my BM then had. 3 more movements that were bloody fluids. Looked like a vampire puked in my toilet. Freaked me out & went to the ER. I'm ok blood tests were good. Bleeding has stopped. Going to surgeon tomorrow.

How far out are you? I had this happen at the end of Sept - so around 1 month post op. Freaked me right out - Dr. put me on Prilosec and another medication - honestly, I can't even remember now how exactly he explained it but he was confident it wouldn't happen again and it never did.

Doc thinks it was leftover blood in my intestinal tract from surgery. Surprised it hadn't already passed. But it's cleared up. I'm just tired. I had my surgery Jan 3rd.0
