Has anyone heard about the Violet Petal Study for an endometriosis treatment medication? I submitted my information and I qualify, but I'm torn as to whether or not I want to participate. Would you ever do something like this?

    Looks interesting but unfortunately think it's only for people in the US (I am in the UK). My opinion is if it could potentially help, then it's worth a try!

    I’m going to my first appointment Wednesday to potentially enroll in the study. I’m torn as well. What upsets me the most is that it’s just more pain management, not getting to the root of the disease and a possible cure. It’s basically toned down Lupron, which I’m also conflicted about using although doctors always recommend it to me. If I had children already I would participate 100% since I’m in so much pain all the time and from what I’ve read it truly helps with the pain symptoms, but since I haven’t I’m hesitant to muck around with my hormone production. Have you seen the doctor yet for your first appointment? I figured when I meet with the doctor they’ll answer my questions and I’ll decide how I want to proceed. It would be amazing not to be shut down with pain constantly, though. I also like how much testing they do before and during and that you are given copies of all your results, it would provide good insight into how endometriosis is really affecting my system.
