The nutritional section of this book (NROLFW) is very enlightening. I highly recommend that everyone on MFP take the time to read it, whether they intend to start lifting or not. You don't have to buy it. Just pick it up off the shelf of the store, grab a seat or a corner and read it right there in the store. It won't take long.

I think my gym is missing the equipment needed to perform some of these exercises.

I hate not being able to do a routine exactly the way its been laid out for me, but I guess I'm going to have to alter this one as my gym is missing some of the equipment. I'll do what I can while I am there and the rest I'll do at home. Anything is better than nothing.

I did workout one of phase one yesterday. Didn't feel like much of a workout once I was through (went by quickly, too) but I am sore today, so I guess I did something. Will use heavier weights next time. I just didn't know how heavy to start.

Edited to say: The guys in the weight area were very nice and even helpful.
