Walking Boot Pains!

Hey

I've just this week bought a pair of Scarpa walking boots, they felt fine in the shop and I walked around at home in them for a few hours to make sure the fit was good and that they wouldn't cause blisters.
All was okay so I took them out for a short walk down the canal, in the second hour of walking the ball of my right foot started aching, and I mean throbbing to the point where I had to stop and rest it!
I thought it might just be me having a problem with my foot so I tried them again a few days after but exactly the same thing happened about two hours in and again today, my feet are fine in my regular shoes so It has to be the boots.
I've been hillwalking since I was a little girl, but i've never expierienced anything like this before.... Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks xxx

I would return them if they are causing that much pain. My last two pairs of boots (Mendl and Montrail) were very comfortable right out of the box. Whenever I buy a new pair of boots, I also purchase new insoles, socks and sock liners.

What kind of boots/shoes did you walk in before you purchased the new boots?
