Thought I would do an update.
Wow I am now jogging 8km just over an hour. Im aiming for 10km. I have taken it slow but when I look at where I started I have come so far. I enjoy the jogs so much. I miss them if I have to miss them for any reason. I also discovered that Im more a solo runner. I have done the colour fun run 5km and the mothers day classic 8km and with both I didnt do to bad but all those people in your way is annoying. I have my 12km one this sunday and really cant wait......
I can now say im a runner and this has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I enjoy getting up early and just going for it. I enjoy going to bed early to ensure I have a good run the next morning. Im enjoying not drinking like a fish and having a hangover all weekend. Im so proud of me.......0 -
I am proud of you too! You inspire me to do more and be better. Here I am sleepless and posting at 1:37AM because I'm overwhelmed at work and not getting my runs in. Gotta do better! Exercise and good health can make everything better. Running is not a hobby, or a luxury. It's necessary! Like sleeping or eating.0

Why eat or sleep if you can't run? LOL.0 -

Time for a new update.
The last month has really been a mess.
I did the 12km fun run and was very impressed with my efforts. I did 12km in 1hr and 36mins.
After that day verything seemed to go in a mess.
We moved to our new home but had heart breaking news that our dear friend that is only 36 has been given 8wks to live. It sort of stops you in your tracks and start to rethink alot of things. So with all the umpacking and the tears my runs took a back step.
Today after 4 weeks of a break I got up early and just told myself to get out of bed and go. I love how I feel after my runs are finished. Along with the new home comes new running paths and trying to find the best roots. I did 6.58km just under and hour. The hills and the traffic were the killer. I couldnt be upset with my efforts as my heart rate was up there. I guess now it is more about been able to get up these hills with out stopping. Or maybe take the car to the flat bit... No what is the point of that. Im happy for this change and to see the change it will make in my body and fitness. I see it as a new challange and with new challanges I love to work at them and at them until im the winner...
My dear friend is now very sick and it will not be long. Im going to look at designing a top that I will wear on all my runs in honor of her.
Do what makes you happy.Dont waste a day. Smile everyday if you feel you cant look and just find one thing to help you find that smile.0 -
Love this. You are in my heart and my prayers during this sad time. Keep on running!0
