hey!
I repeate week 5 day 2 twice, so not a whole week, but see it like this:
When you learned riding the bike, you fell an awful lot of times, but always tried again and again and again till you did it.
No need to give up, some people learn riding a bike in an hour, others need weeks (like my mother-in-law lol)0 -
I repeated week 3, and I redid part of a later week. Repeat if you need to. No reason to stress about it. I know somebody who ran each week twice. First on the treadmill and then out on the road. Another friend had a really bad dose of flu and dropped back from week 6 back to week 4 as she recovered.
You will get there. Dont be afraid to slow down and go slower.0 -
I'm doing each week twice. I kind of have in mind that the first time through is just to complete it, the second time I work a little harder to increase my speed.0

I tend to be a bit obsessive about stuff like this. so I didn't want to repeat.
But as I went along, I finally decided... I'm not in a race now, so why not just do what feels right.
We aren't being graded or analyzed.
So I did repeat weeks... sometimes several times for the same one. And I walked when I
"REALLY" needed it. I did run a few 5K's... and was slow slow... but I celebrated that I finished.
You are doing awesome to just be out there working on this. So don't worry if you repeat.0 -
Repeating is perfectly fine, but I will warn you about what happened to me. I was so nervous about week 5 day 3 (20 min straight) that I repeated week 5 day 2 for months. literally. It became such a monumentally impossible thing in my head that I was just hiding from it. Finally one day I accidentally selected week 5 day 3 on my garmin and didn't realize it. I was half way through the 20 minutes before it sunk in that I was doing day 3. I decided I would just go as far as I could, and there was no shame if I couldn't make it all 20 minutes. I don't know what happened that week, but I just kept moving and before I knew it the 20 minutes was over. Now I'm about to start week 9 and I realize that with the right pace and proper breathing, I know I can keep going.
So, to sum up: Give yourself repeat days when you need them, but don't forget to TRUST THE PROGRAM!0 -

You are so right! I remember one time I ran 27 minutes straight but got so used to running 27 minutes that I settled for that complete time ALL THE TIME! Eventually I got bored with it and guess what? Gave up.
Thank you for this advice. Makes alot of sense.0 -
I just did Week 4 Day 2 today and I am debating doing it again. It was pretty rough for some reason.0

See how you go on day 3 and if you want to repeat then all good0 -
I repeated week 2. I hurt my hip and didn't run for two weeks. Since I was so new to it, I decided repeating was better for injury prevention.
Other than injury, I just forged ahead. If a particilar day was really tough, I made a mental note of why it might have been harder. I did the next day in the prgram for my next run and was able to complete it. I decided I would rather add in an extra minute walk break than repeat a day just because I thought it was too hard. Our bodies are amazing machines. Give them the credit they deserve.
Listen to your body. Don't let your mind take over and psyche you out of trying to move ahead. You can do this!0 -
