Tomorrow is my six week post-op appointment with the surgeon. I am hoping that they will tell me that I can do more than walk for exercise (I'd really like to start my yoga again and do the elliptical). I am also really wanting to begin weight training again since I am in a wedding in 8 months and I want my arms and back to look strong and defined.

Do you have any hopes for this week?

surely they will, my doctor cleared me after 2 weeks but when I nearly hurt myself about a month and a half out I wished I had waited a little bit longer to let those tummy muscles heal up. You could always encourage your doctor to clear you by saying you'll start slow.

Every doctor is a little different. Mine told me not to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk until 8 weeks. But walking is always encouraged, and I was using the recumbent bike after two weeks.
