Well, you don't increase if you've already been gaining, because you can't gain during a deficit, except water weight, and that's only so much.
Now, if you had increased calories from eating very low and there was no weight loss there, and you started eating 500 calories more, sure some gain for a bit.
What was the basis of your TDEE figure, Harris BMR at 1445?
The more accurate Mifflin is about 100 less - 1348.
TDEE level of Moderately Active (if that's correct) based on more accurate BMR is 2089, with deficit 1776.
If your bodyfat estimate is 38% or higher, your Katch BMR is even 100 less, 1249, TDEE 1936, and with deficit 1646.
So depending on how accurate your BMR, your TDEE and eating goal estimate could be inflated by 200 calories.
And your activity level could be off - exercise 3-5 hrs weekly at jogging or better pace or similar cardio, or lifting heavy?
If you've been gaining, your TDEE is of course not 2229, because you have no deficit and no loss for awhile.
Unless you have food logging problems and don't have accurate calorie counts there.
Use this to see where you should be, or at least use best estimated figures.
