Hey everyone,
Welcome to Stairway To Fitness!
My name is Shane and I wanted to introduce myself.
Having been overweight my whole life I decided it was time for a change. From being picked on throughout elementary school through middle school for being one of the biggest kids playing sports, my self-esteem tanked and I wanted to "get bigger" so the other kids wouldn't pick on me. Unfortunately, I did it the wrong way. I ate instead of working out. I packed on A LOT of weight and it's taken me 14+ years to figure out how to do it. I've been happily married for almost 2 years and I want to show my wife what I really look like. I don't remember what it's like to be in good shape and I want to be healthy for my kids and my wife. I want to be healthy for me. I want to be able to say I DID IT. From my healthy lifestyle and finding Beachbody, I have lost almost 60 lbs and completed INSANITY 3 times and P90X once. It was the best thing I could have ever done for myself and my familly.
What I would LOVE from everyone who is new is to post your "WHY" -- Why are you eating and working out and trying to be a healthier person? What motivates you? Why are you doing what you're doing? What are some of your goals? How far have you come?
Consider all of this for me and give all of us a chance to help and motivate you to be the BEST you!
