Morning Ladies,
Here is our challenge for this week:
This weeks challenge is to get in 10,000 steps daily. Good luck teams!
On average, women walk at 3 miles per hour. For the average man, the speed is a little quicker at 3.5 miles per hour, mainly due to their longer legs. Assuming the average pace (a pace is the distance each leg travels per movement) is about 3 to 4 feet, this would equate to about ((3x5280)/3)= 5280 paces per hour. About 1one or two steps per second.
Just a quick formula for those that need to figure up steps if there is not a pedometer or fitbit etc...and use minutes to keep track
The winning team receives a 5lbs advantage at the weigh-in!!
We can do this ladies!!!
Please post your daily steps in this feet and send me your final total with your weigh-in by Monday at 6:30am.

Super job!! Glad you're on our team0 -
Suprisingly I managed to do 11,890 - considering I was in Court all day but between running back and forth between the Courthouse and work and walking to and from work, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.0

I feel like I am in the advanced math class again, and everyone knows what is happening except for me, so I just sit there and take notes. Haha. I did walk at a pace of about 4mph yesterday, for 30 minutes, so I am assuming I came in somewhere around the 10,000 mark. Coupling that with chasing preschoolers around last night
I will do my best to continue to add in steps, but my desk job, will create an issue.
Keep up the great work everyone!0 -
I was at 20,000 steps even by the time I went to bed yesterday. I'm at 19,572 so far for today and I've still got some time before I go to bed for the day. We've got this one ladies!0

Thursday was 12136 steps. Need to get that number up!0

Yesterday I walked 14,375 steps. Don't know how I get so many steps in, although not even close to what some people do, considering I sit at a desk all day. lol Need to start working while I walk in place or something.0
