I feel like I'm in EM2WL pre-school and I have no idea where to begin. I went to the scooby calculator and read thru the site and tried to see if there was something that would click in my addled brain, but to no avail. All I know are my stats, my BMR, MY TDEE, ect. But now what? What do I go home and eat? How do I start a reset? Does this mean no more seafood or lean meats? Maybe I'm just not getting it... It's embarassing, but I can't seem to grasp the concept of eating more.. Help! :frown: :blushing:

To do a reset you eat at TDEE for 8-12 weeks. You can gradually increase calories to your TDEE or jump right in. You may gain weight during reset. You may wish to check out a website. . .eatmore2weighless There is alot of info on their. I am sure plenty of people with much more time in EM2WL will chime in. Many suggest that you eat 30% protein/30% fat/40% carbs.
I think it is most important to remember this is a long term process.

I would recommend getting hold of the EM2WL starter kit:

    http://eatmore2weighless.com/faqs/

There is a $5 download fee but I would say its well worth it. It wasn't available when I joined and I spent days reading through all the threads on here to accumulate all the information I needed to take the plunge and get going. The starter kit has all the important info you need in one place for easy reference.

Re. what to eat, as said above most of use set our macros to 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fats. Eating 'clean' nutritious food is recommended but this is a lifestyle so there is room to have you favourite treats too.

While you get used to eating more you may want more calorie dense foods as it may take a while for your stomach to eat used to eating larger volumes of food. Avocados, nuts and full fat dairy are great calorie boosters.

Welcome, and congratulations on your decision to fuel your body properly!

I would highly agree that the best place to start is at www.eatmore2weighless.com and get the Starter Kit. It has all of the information you will need in one place - I would suggest even printing it out so you can refer to it often, as the first few weeks are the hardest. All of this info is available in the threads tacked to the top of the discussion forum, but the Starter Kit will save you from having to search for answers to specific questions.

Welcome, and feel free to add me if you would like some support :-)
