I'm running again after 25 years!!
I really had to get the idea of speed out of my head for now..I was trying to run 5.0mph on the running intervals and I felt like my lungs were going to burst. So I had to slow way down. So now I am running only at at 3.5mph sometimes 4.0mph....I'm running...and enjoying it. On to week 3.
Oh yeah? Any idea for cross training on rest days?
Thanks.

Great work! It's crazy how hard it is to slow down but it's the only way to be successful.0

Finished yesterday after going back-to-back to get back on track. Realized that on D2 one of the pairs of sneakers I bought suck and don't support my feet properly. I end up with horribly sore calves if I run in them. Should have stuck with my standby Brooks Beast. Lesson learned.
Week 3 starts tomorrow for me. Will be doing some low impact/slow and easy elliptical tonight and maybe some weightlifting.0
