Sabotaging Myself

Every time I am on track, I sabotage myself by eating junk. If it isn't in the house I'll go but it. It's frustrating, I'm a stay at home mom with 2 boys 2and under. I don't know how to control my comfort eating, I've done it all my life. Blah.

  • It's not about food. That's what I tell myself on my good days - you know, the days I DON'T sabotage myself. So, if its not about food, what IS it about. If I can dig, I can sometimes get past it. Or sometimes I tell myself - what 15 minutes and by that time, I've gotten distracted.

    Or sometimes, I just eat :embarassed:

    To be honest, I try to limit our shopping to every 10 days to 2 weeks. This helps greatly in terms of having snack food around, because (if I weaken and buy some), it's pretty much gone in a short time. Also, my husband is diabetic, so if I make a sweet treat, I make it in single doses (e.g., those microwave mug cakes, etc.). That way, I don't have tempting stuff around and, if I really really want something sweet, I have to go through the trouble of making it myself lol! :laugh:
