Tips on a strength training beginner

I have a question. I am new to strength training and really have no idea how to begin. I was reading about the stronglifts 5x5 and wondered if you would recomment that for a beginner. Please any and all advice is welcomed.

Stronglifts is a very good beginner (and more advanced) lifting routine, especially for someone on a deficit.
