Strengthen up!

I recently reconnected with MFP! Last year I had surgery and after recovery I joined a local gym. I did cross fit excercises about 6 weeks. Lost a few pounds but my back began to ache a lot more after my attempt to lift weights and do Tabata style cross fit excercises at home. Then I started with C25K App and had gotten up to about week 6. OF course, with back issues I turn back to walking before finally just letting it all go in October 2012. I am currently dealing with my back; which i'm told it could be simply just having to retrain/strenthen my muscles. A fresh start for me is to lose weight by portion control and excercise! I'm not a fad diet junkie; but serious about weight lost. Since I log into MFP daily, I thought I'll try to connect with people of like minded interest and joined this group of! Thanks for the acceptaion and i'm looking forward to US sharing OUR experiences together!
