I really had to RUSH to get my calories in before 8:30 I tell you....picking up my daughter from her musical theatre took an "eating" hour OUT of my evening and I was CRAMMING at the end!

I think I'm going to give myself permission to have a LNS sometime this weekend - I can feel a "binge" building, and I'm going to cut it off at the pass! Popcorn - I LOVE YOU.

Sorry, I haven't been here in the last 5 days...HAPPY to see everyone is logging and being ACCOUNTABILE
I've been incredibly busy, and only able to support on my Newsfeed before being too tired. Had some time today, and glad to see new members who joined us  I am SOO HAPPY for this forum, because for the LAST 4 months, I've developed the habit of No LNS...and I've lost some stubborn weight (my own self sabotage... ) Anyway, I determine to be *better* accountable. WHY do I stay here? I *still* have BAD days, but because of my New Wonderful Habit, I didn't succumb. I am glad to be here with all of you. Keep up the FOCUS...
**Ellie** – Congrats on your focus…5-0 at last count in your FAVOR …Wooo Hoooo!!!
**Karen** – Keep trying…you will turn the numbers around being here  Accountability is the MAIN thing
**Mar** – Hey Mar…I’ve been visibly absent also…but PLAN to be more active from here forward (big smile)…Missin’ ya on the feed, too…soooo guess you are busy …I sure know how that goes :flowerforyou:
**TH** - Snacking can be a detrimental bad habit, and a BIG reason for weight gain. …sooo CONGRATS for only having only two snack in 6 days.
**Kate** – YAY…I *love* Pad Thai…you’ve been SOO good lately you deserve CELEBRATING
    **Beeps** – AWESOME 6-0 in your FAVOR..WTG!!
**lhalket** - Welcome-this group is great for deviating from LNS…It has kept me LNS free for 4 months now. I stay here because I *still* get those urges. The HABIT gets be through …CONGRATS on your FIRST successful day (big smile)

Missing you Dewdrop and Kris…hope all is WELL!!!

    Hugs and Smiles :flowerforyou:

Hello everyone - someone referred me to this group so I thought I would check it out since I suffer from those dastardly LNS urges. My problem is I'm pretty good at keeping my calories under, but inevitably it never fails, after I complete my food entry for the day, I'll sit down and find myself wanting something to eat - which means rummaging around in the kitchen to find something, eating it, THEN opening the food diary back up, recording, and ultimately beating myself up. Hopefully this group will give me the additional accountability to work through this.

Yup, you described it exactly. I could have written it myself. Maybe we should get on here when we start wanting something and examine what is going on. What happened right before we started eating? Or what thoughts were in our minds right before we started wanting something? Example -- last night I tried to call my elderly mother, who's in assisted living. Got a busy signal for the 3rd time in a row. Went for the chip bag. Now, why would a busy signal on my mother's phone send me for the chips?

Well, it hasn't been late night, but it's been eating when not hungry, eating triggering more eating.

Not too bad. I'm on my last of 3 nightshifts . The middle night I ate all night long- coffee cake, savoury biscuits, coleslaw etc, but tonight I am back on track

I thought I posted on this thread last night....losing my mind.
Anyway, I have a problem with late night snacking...but mine is more like middle of the night. I stay up until my husband goes to work @ 1 am and I eat and watch Netflix...until 3 or 4 am.
I am logging it all and so I start each day with a 300 to 500 calorie deficit.
    I need to stop.

Yesterday went well. LNS 0, Me 1.

    What helps --
Structure a substantial evening snack into my food plan -- eat it around the time the munchies usually start prowling.
Or, have an afternoon snack and then a later dinner. If I eat dinner at 7pm instead of 5, I don't graze later.

By "snack" I'm not talking about 6 almonds or a piece of celery spread with a teaspoon of peanut butter. I'm talking about real food -- oatmeal with fruit, or a meat sandwich and an apple (the sandwich made with low-cal bread and thin-sliced packaged meat that's something like 25 calories a slice.) Since I've stopped eating wheat, the sandwich isn't an option for me anymore, but it may still be for other people.

I hope I can help someone. This is what's helping me.

Hello, everyone! What a nice bunch of people here!. Glad to see we got reinforcement through some newcomers - welcome to everyone :flowerforyou:!

I was thinking of you (as a challenge team), in spite of my absence. I allowed myself to be a bit flexible with the cut-off time again, as long as dinner was the last thing and no more snacking followed. All in all, I've been quite good and only failed two nights:
    Me: 8 - LNS: 2

Thank you so much for keeping this going . For me no LNS is the best weigh-loss/weight-maintenance tool. Maybe in time I'll start a "no more useless snacking during office hours" challenge and then all problems will be solved .

Keep up the good work, everyone, :flowerforyou: and remember that quitting is the only failure!
I will hopefully be also able to post in more consistently from now on .

My goal is to stay at or under 175 cal. after midnight - that's my problem time. Last night I discovered something that was 160 cals but not so healthy, so I added a green veggie which I figured had no calories, but in fact it was 42 cals which put me over my goal. I am not going to let LNS get that point. I am calling it for ME !

I have now put my chips, etc., into a box high in my bedroom closet. I don't plan on bringing them out until Oscar night. I need BETTER control because I'm struggling everyday with this. Which is lame. The non-struggle (i.e. out of sight, out of mind) is WAY easier, for me!

Had a great supper out with hubby last night. We shared appy's and then had a main course. The owner brought us 2 desserts (on him) and I didn't even TASTE either one! Hubby ate both.

    I'm super-impressed with my DISCIPLINE!
