Heel Pain

Hey guys, hoping someone can give me a little advice. I am in the final week of C25k, and until this week have thankfully been injury free. Wednesday, I had a little discomfort in my right heel during the day, but I thought it might have just been because I was wearing heels, so I didn't think anything of it. I went ahead and did my run Wednesday night, and didn't experience any pain or discomfort while I was running, but when I stopped, I felt the same pain, only much sharper. I stayed off it yesterday and am feeling much better. I plan on taking today off as well to give myself more time to heal. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this, and if there's any way I can prevent it in the future. I have good running shoes that fit properly. Is there a stretch I should be adding? Thanks!

What kind of pain is it? Does it hurt when you only put weight on it? Or is the pain constant? Does it hurt more when you first put pressure on it or when pressure is released? Is there a area on the heel that you can push that causes pain? Is it better with ice?0

It only hurts when I put weight on it. It hurts more when I first put pressure on it, and pretty much completely goes away when the pressure is released. There is no area of my heel where pushing causes pain. Icing helped numb the pain, but as soon as everything warmed up, I was feeling the same pain when I walked.0
