Perverts Online Rant

I'm sure y'all are laughing at me... but as a young bride with no clue about sex before I got married I was soooooo frustrated when I would try to talk to friends/older women and they would just say, "don't worry, as you get more experience it will stop hurting."
Sure you get a lot of crap on there, but really everybody has access to an unlimited wealth of knowledge and experience.
This would probably never happen nowadays...0 -

A lot of church folks are hesitant to talk about sex. I make a point of talking to young brides about this because they see in media and all their friends (not wanting to be embarassed) make it sound like the most natural easy thing. For the guy, it pretty much is easy and natural. But not so for the woman who doesn't yet know her body and was reared in an evironment that makes it difficult to learn her body.
And before anyone goes on some rant tangent about how that's part of why religion is evil, many women who AREN'T religious feel like it's wrong to learn their bodies or don't realize that they need to because their enjoyment doesn't come as easily as their men. It's not just a religious thing. Maybe it's an American thing, IDK. I've talked to many grown, non religious women who aren't getting theirs and consider that to be normal.0 -

It's cultural, but religion has massively shaped our culture. Most "modern" religions were created around 2000 - 3000 years ago, and subjugating women was a key component of each. It was always a way for the powerful to shape society so that they retained power, money, and influence.
Most religions have always viewed sex as something wrong and dirty, a necessary evil. And that's not something you can change overnight. But it is changing, and for the better. But it's a slow process.
I'll give Sam Harris the final word:
The United States is unique among wealthy democracies in its level of religious literalism and opposition to evolutionary theory; it is also uniquely beleaguered by high rates of homicide, abortion, teen pregnancy, STD infection and infant mortality. The same comparison holds true within the United States itself: Southern and Midwestern states, characterized by the highest levels of religious superstition and hostility to evolutionary theory, are especially plagued by the above indicators of societal dysfunction, while the comparatively secular states of the Northeast conform to European norms.

Here is how the convo went the night before last:
Me: "Well we should hang out sometime"
Him: I agree!! Maybe you could come visit me while I'm working.
Me: I wouldn't mind that, but I usually like to change first before meeting someone after work. (we work in the same city so I would have to leave my work and go straight to his)
Him: Why is that?
Me: Because I look like crap in my uniform and after working all day! Haha
Him: I see. The uniform comes later lol
Me: ::no response::
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Did you not read when I wrote to stop with the sex stuff?! Then last night he texts me "Hey". GTFO!!!!
THENNNNN, last night. Very attractive younger guy (24). I usually stay away from younger guys, but he was too cute not to message. After a few normal messages:
Him: Why don't you come over?
Me: I'm actually out with friends right now.
Him: I was just joking anyway...but would you really have come over?
Me: Nope lol I prefer a public place for a first date
Him: Okay, sex in public is great!!
Me: Oh wow...here we go...
Him: I was joking chill out
Me: ::no response::
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geez, I actually thought that was kinda tame.0 -

Yeah for me this is totally lkinda soft.... But I'm probably as big a perv as he thinks he is and have no problem letting my mind play in the gutter...0 -
Yep its the online thing. I knew one guy who would be willing to walk up to 100 girls in a bar until he found one who would go home with him. It probably took less than 10 times but that was his approach. This was like 10 years ago.
Now a guy can use that same approach and do it somewhat anonymously via internet. It doesn't take much guts to ping 100 girls via a singles site, social network and/or phone. He's going to keep on doing it until he finds the response he is looking for.
Consider it a filter.
You're exactly right!0 -

It is "kinda" tame...but that's not the point. I don't care if it's tame or raunchy and filthy...the point is that I'm tired of it constantly going that direction after the first few texts or conversations.0
