Hi guys! So I'm on day 3 of this journey and have been told its normal to feel like crap or have headaches...but I'm also having horrible muscle cramps and my run sucked today because of it. Any ideas? The only other issue has been some "stomach distress" but that seems to be subsiding. Also, what are your favorite sites for recipes and food ideas? I'm trying to avoid places that 'paleofy' recipes especially sweets until I get my sweet tooth under control.

As for a little about me, I'm a crazy busy working mom and I have a beautiful set of all boy triplets that are 4.5 and another little boy that is almost 2; so my life is definitely chaotic!

Here's a pic of me and my crew on the lake last summer:

  • Welcome to the group!

The muscle cramps could mean you need to drink more water, or add more potassium-rich foods. Or both :) A little extra iodized salt might also help with that, but try to get a lot more potassium than sodium. That's my best guess, anyway - the more athletic types here might have better advice.

4 boys... you have your hands full!

I felt like crap my first week or so but it passed and I have felt great since then. I didn't do any exercise at all during that time because I just had no energy. Now I'm starting to bug my family with my higher energy levels.

I was getting some cramps also and have been trying to get more potassium into my diet but I also take magnesium supplements now. Since I started taking them I have had no cramps.

My diary is open so feel free to check it out if you want. I don't really "do" recipes, it more throw things onto heat to warm them up or take cool things and put oil/butter on them. I had forgotten how good real butter tastes.
