I am new to the group and I have been eating at 1200 calories for years. Found info on eating more right before Thanksgiving....did my calculations and have upped my calories. I know it was going to take awhile but its just over two months and I have only lost 2 pounds. Am I missing something? I have been lifting twice a week ....started lifting 2 weeks ago. My TDEE was 2045.... minus the 15% brings me to 1645 on lifting days and 1400 on days I don't. Is it just taking longer because I was at such at 1200 for so long? Do I need a metabolism reset? If so...how do I do it? Edited for typos...

Hi there I'm far from the right person as I'm still unsure in what I'm doing on daily calories BUT I thought I'd check have you lost inches? Also I'd say you've really increased your cals & lost weight - that has to be a good sign!

Sure someone who can help will be along soon.

The rule is tot take your TDEE minus 20% or at the max minus 30% to loose weight. But with
everyting below your TDEE you should lost weight. But I thinking that it's then not going very fast??? I'm far from an expert but maybe this is the problem?

I even red a time ago that your should eat 20% below your TDEE for 3 days and on day 4 eat up to your TDEE to keep your metabolism running. Never tried that one yet, maybe when I hit a plateau.

    Just my 2 cents.
Your state that you have been eating @ 1200 for years.....then you ask do I need a reset? If I read the stickies at the top correctly the answer is yes and probably for a 8-12 week period.
