Program was on hold due to health issue...

I had a medical issue come up and had to stop running during week 4. Today my doctor cleared me to run again and told me I need to be doing half-marathons. (He is a marathon runner.) I told him I need to finish this program first, and do a 5K!!! But that power of suggestion... I'm just so excited right now.
During my time "away" from the program, I continued the same day (W4D2), but worked the intervals on an elliptical machine that the gym trainer told me was MOST like running without being a treadmill because I couldn't take the abdominal jarring. I think I'll pick up my next run at the same place I stopped at. I just didn't want to lose the progress I had already made.

Wow! Good work. Congratulations on your "all clear"
And your doctor sounds crazy - but he survived medical school and a residency, so he probably thinks that a marathon is no big deal compared to that0
