So today was Day 1 / Week 1 for me. Just graduated from 30 Day Shred yesterday and am feeling great. I love Jillian work outs. The 30 Day Shred taught me about doing some kind of exercise every day rather the 3-4 x a week. Love that it's only 20-30 minutes a day and I can fit it in before dinner.
Found Day 1 tougher than 30 Day Shred. Burned 200 calories in the 1/2 hour. Liked that there were some familiar moves. How are you guys doing?0 -
I'm glad you shared this thread! I'm in week 3 but took off 2 days this week (honestly lost motivation with sick kids in the house-not sure why it affected me that way!). Tonight is week 3, day 2.
I'm liking RI30 ok but I've not been nearly as consistent with it compared to 30DS it seems like. So, I guess I'm not loving it quite as much as the 30DS because I did much better with staying on it with that program!0 -
Didn't do day 2 today because we got hit with that huge snow storm so shovelled snow for 2 hours instead... urghhh!! May have to do the same tomorrow... but the burn is good so I can't really complain. :-)0
-
Didn't do Ripped today AGAIN because of the stupid snow. Ended up burning over 800 calories today doing snow related activities!! Tomorrow I will get into Ripped again (Day 2).0
-
Did day 2 yesterday. Felt good. Really liking it and better burn than 30 Day Shred. Day 3 today...0

I hate to leave you high & dry here but I might have to. I can't seem to find my groove with RI30. It's driving me crazy & I can't figure out why it's not motivating to me but it's not. I started dreading working out & then seem to skip more & more days. Not good at all. So yesterday, I dug out shred just to get a workout in for the day. Tomorrow, I am going to town & plan to buy 6 week 6 pack (watched level 1 some on youtube & it looks like a workout I'd enjoy more) and I'm also going to find 1 or 2 different non-Jillian workout dvds. I'm thinking about mixing it up each day but haven't decided for sure. I'll try to keep checking in just to help motivate if nothing else! We need a Jillian 'mix-up' support group.0

I'm about to do L2, W2... I enjoyed week one a lot more, I think in week 2 there's too much time doing planks x-x0
-
it's funny how some people don't like RI30 after 30 Day Shred. I'm liking it. Finding it challenging. Not getting easier.... I did Day 4/Week 1 yesterday and was dying. I will do Day 5 today (tomorrow I'll take the day off and give my body some time to heal). I plan to do Day 6&7 over the weekend, ski all day Monday and start week 2 on Tuesday. That's the plan.0

Yes, week 2 has a ton of planks. A TON. lol!
It kills me to stop RI30 after making it halfway through level 3 and only having basically 10 days left (7 of lv 4, 3 of lv 3).
My plan right now is to finish the week out doing shred (Mon & Tues I did lv 1, today & Thurs will be lv 2, Fri & Sat lv 3). Rest on Sunday and then start Monday with 6 week 6 pack. I am also going to look into finding 1 or 2 other workouts that are non-Jillian to mix in to keep me motivated. It's crazy how much more motivated I have felt the last 2 days after stopping RI30 and starting back up on shred for a little while. It's downright WEIRD. I can't figure it out!0 -
well whatever works for sure. If you're not enjoying it, then you won't keep doing it. Sounds like you're doing the right thing to me. I really enjoyed 30 DS. So far RI30 is good. I have ChaLEAN Extreme now that I just ordered... will be starting that after RI30 is done. I'm realy loving NOT going to the gym and doing my at home workouts. So much time saved.0

Day 5 - week 1 today. Was great. Burned alot today with HRM. I think it was because I did a fast walk/jog on my treadmill for 20 minutes before doing RI30. My heart rate was up already. The workout is not getting easier but I'm enjoying it for sure. I switch between 3, 5 and 8 1b weights depending on the move. The squat/arm flies and lunches with shoulder raises I can only do 3 1bs. SO HARD!! But others I use 8 1bs and have no problem. Looking foward to week 2.0

Good job on getting the workout in!
I need to look into the ChaLean you mentioned. I've seen the name mentioned around the forums & it seems several like it!0 -
it's apparently a good lifting program for women. There's 7 DVDs... a little intimidating. I haven't even really checked out the box of stuff yet. I'll try to look at it this weekend, but still have 25 days of Ripped in 30 to do. :-)0
-
Day 6 - week 1 done!! Always burn about 200 doing this workout. I think it's getting easier. One more time over the weekend, then on to week 2!!!0
-
Day 7 - Week 1 DONE!! Moving on to Week 2 on Tuesday (skiing tomorrow). I took a sneak peek at week 2 and it looks good. Will look forward to changing it up again with Jillian. She's awesome!0
-
So I moved on to Week 2 and did day 1 & 2 yesterday and today. Burned less calories but found it harder. Some of the moves are very tricky!! Sweated my butt off!!! Not sold on week 2 yet.0
-
RI30 Week 2 Day 3
I agree some of the moves are quite tricky to work out esp the sit ups towards the end! I can't work out which way to sit up with arms and legs going in all sorts of directions that I'm sure they shouldn't be!0 -
I know what you mean. I just do whatever I can so that I feel it. Those but raises to table top are hard!! I took a rest day today. Day 3 Week 2 for me tomorrow.0
-
Day 4 - Week 2 done yesterday. Skipping today for a visit to the gym and dancing tonight. Getting easier I think.0
-
Didn't want to leave you here alone discussing RI30, Lisa. For several months I have been working out 4-5 times per week, alternating Jillian days with kettlebell workouts. I'm on W2D4 but lately I find that if I take a rest day, I just do kettlebells again and skip RI30. Maybe it's just something about W2 that I don't look forward to it. I'm thinking I'll skip to W3 to see if my motivation returns.0
-
I hear you on Week 2!! I'm not motivated to do it either. Did day 5 yesterday but have to skip today. I WILL do 2 more times, then move to week 3. I did a sneak peek of Week 3 and it looks HARD!! I just received ChaLEAN Extreme in the mail so I'm doing that next.
Jillian's coming to my city in May and I bought tickets. Can't wait!!0 -
Did day 6 - week 2 yesterday. Had to skip today to shovel snow - bleh!! I think I will do week 2 once more then move to week 3. Checked it out and it looks HARD!!0
-
I'm on day 2 level 1 and i feel like i have been run over by a truck. I know i have to keep plodding on though. The diet aspect has been on my own terms. I have just shopped more healthily and been very careful to eat lots of salads and veggies. i soooo want to look good in a bikini by Summer!! Its more about how i look, rather than what i weigh :-)0
-
Great job! It's hard but it gets easier. Today I did day 7 of week 2. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill first and I burned way more calories during Ripped in 30 because I guess my heart rate was way up there. I'm considering moving on to ChaLEAN Extreme early. I bought the program and am reading it now. I'm not sure I can do 2 more weeks of Ripped in 30, although I do like Jillian... gotta figure it out but at least I'm doing something.0
-
Okay officially quitting Ripped in 30. Starting ChaLEAN Extreme tomorrow. So this discussion will die if no one posts in here...0

Hi fellow ripped in 30 warriors,
I am on week 1-day 4. it is getting easier to pull through the entire workout with stopping to die... Im catching my breathe much easier and feeling really good about myself. I will say I have almost mastered week one(beginner) , all but those awful lunges ..... but even though week two intimidates me , I feel the need and desire to push myself . This is the best I have felt in a long time , mentally and physically . I am actually doing it, I am actually committing to something , and with motivation ,and will power (gets stronger daily) I pray to succeed.
Good Luck everyone , and power through!

I have started week 2 , day 1 of RI30... I can truly see , and feel the difference happening to my body , and my mind ... I feel better than ever!:happy:0

I did my first day yesterday and thought I was going to puke. I wasn't able to finish the last cardio rep. Today I had the granddaughter and wasn't able to fit it in. I am hoping to try again tomorrow.0

ok I am on week 2/d-3.... I am feeling it ! I love this workout, and I used to not move off of my couch , a couple of months ago , I would had laughed at myself for even thinking of doing a workout dvd... . But as the new me progresses through , I rather like myself now. And I am so loving the mirror , NSV's ... and everything about becoming a healthier person, not to mention I am goning to look so great in my bathing suit, (when I acheive my goals of course)... But I just wanted to say good luck , and get some people !!! Be present in your own life!0

Great job Amy! I am so glad you are getting good results. Much better than being a couch potato!
Did level 1 again last night. It was better but still not great. I can definitely feel it my muscles! Now I am to the point that I refuse to let it defeat me so I WILL finish 7 days at each level. I have bad knees and this work out is hard on them so I have decided to shoot for every other day with swimming on the off days.0
