On 12/6 when I joined and told MFP I wanted to lost 1 lb. per week I was assigned an 1860 calorie allowance each day. Not bad. Doable. When I recorded a 7 lb. weight loss that dropped from 1860 to 1820.

I am bereft. Life as I know it is over and I will never be able to meet this new goal. I may as well give up and dive face first, mouth agape into (Insert your favorite guilty food pleasure here).
My favorite would probably be a still warm slab of freshly baked ciabatta bread with 1/2 lb. of butter melting into it and oozing over the side. (whimper)

The obvious answer? Tell mfp you want to lose .5lb a week now :laugh: Then the buttery ciabatta is all yours (have you considered a career in food porn? I don't even like butter that much, and now I want your fantasy!)0 -
I can't cut back to .5 lb just yet. My generation (or maybe it was just me) was raised to feel crippling guilt by giving up on goals too soon. Food porn? Hmmm. I have been looking for a new direction in life. :bigsmile:

No one said this was going to be easy. The .5 a week is not a defeat but part of the process. This isn't a linear progression.
You might want to google search and figure your BMR and TDEE. Try 10% under your TDEE and set a manual goal in MFP0 -

Anyone that only loses 1/2 a pound a week is a loser. A total 1/2 pound loser. Pony rainbow farts weigh more than that. You need to set your goal to 0.25% of your body weight. Go big or go home.0 -
