Good Morning Everyone,

I did not sleep in. . . .well, I kinda did . . until 7am. I get up at 6am when I am going to the gym.

Today, will be spent by going for a long walk later; then relaxing; reading; with some relaxing music on; clean clutter out of the hall linen cubboards, my bathroom drawers and kitchen drawers; then more relaxing.

TOPIC

"To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition." Samuel Johnson

"The wisdom contained in this one sentence is worth meditating on for the rest of our lives; it's probably the reason Dr. Johnson earned his final resting place with the "Immortals" in Westminister Abbey."

"Why are you working so hard? To be happy at home. But you're never "at" home---in mind, body, or spirit----because you're always working. So why are you working so hard? To be happy at home."

"This is not a Zen loan. Life is a paradox, but we don't have to make it any harder than it is already. We've been on this path for ten months, (this is one of Sarah's writings in October) but if you're on the cusp of grasping this insight, you're miles ahead of most of us."

"Hold this thought: "the ultimate result of all ambition is to be happy at home." Engrave this truth on your consciousness. Lay the track deeply, so that even when you're on your own version of automatic pilot, you'll be homeward bound. Write it on the palm of your hand; sneak a peek at it three times a day. Mutter it under your breath before attending a budget review that starts a half hour before the children need to be picked up; before agreeing to entertain out-of-town clients on your anniversary; before answering faxes on Sunday or leaving voice mail messages at midnight."

"What is the ultimate result of all ambition? You know."

"Inscribe it on your heart. Needlepoint it on your pillow. Say it out loud when you get up and just before retiring. Make it your "mantra"
that personal phrase that brings all things into focus. Doing so will help remind you that the greatest adventure of our lives is finding our way back home." Sarah Ban Breathnach

"Every day is an opportunity to make a new happy ending." Author Unknown

Have a great day!

i like that inside of being happy at your home! kind of reminds me of a line in an abba song "building me a home, thinking i be strong there" well the rest of the song is not so positive, but that line always gets to me! i think i will make a reasonable plan soon to get rid of all the things that clutters my house and take up space!

I was to long without a walk too, so i will fit that in tomorrow as well! need some fresh air!

    have a great day all!

I am so lucky to be happy in my home. We found an old (built in 1890) home 20 years ago and have been lovingly restoring it ever since. We lived here for about 2 years when we decided that this is the house we wanted to raise our family in and grow old together. I definitely work hard, but I relish the time in the evenings when I can spend time with my husband or daughter. I enjoy taking the occasional Friday off from work and staying at home relaxing alone. I love sitting on my front porch with a pot of coffee and the newspaper.

More than being happy in my home, I am happy in my life. I know that I am exactly where I am meant to be. I am content.
