Hi, I'm 5'3 and 178lbs and estimated 32% bodyfat. I've been eating at 1200 calories plus workout calories since joining and I've only lost 4 lbs in the last month. I have upped my calorie intake to 1600 rounding off my BMR numbers plus eating my exercise calories. I did this after reading about BMR and TDEE. I dont have a food scale but try to log everything to the best of my ability. I am a dairy free vegetarian. I am a stay at home mom and aside from my daily chores I exercise and average of 50 mins a day. I just finished doing the 30 day shred and am about to start Ripped in 30. I interchange my cardio either doing Tae bo, Zumba or Leslie Sansone walking videos. My question is do I need to do any additional changes to my calorie needs. I am trying to lose at least 40 lbs. Feel free to look at my diary and offer any advice. I guess I just feel that at this rate I should be losing a little more.

What are you using to estimate your exercise calories? How much are you eating gross on average?0

Am I doing something wrong?0 -
I'm planning on getting a fitbit soon hopefully with tax money. As of now I'm estimating via online input and I take off a little just because I don't trust it. On average before upping my calorie intake I was eating 1400-1600 a day including workout calories.
I lost another pound this week. Now I'm very happy the scale is going down instead of up but frustrating seeig others that started when I did lose much more than I have. :-(0 -
4lbs/month is not too far off from ideal for you. We can still take a look at your methods and see what could be improved but initially I'd suggest that you stop worrying about how fast or how much weight other people are losing and instead focus on sticking to your plan and goals.
Someone who is 400lbs can lose a lot faster than someone who is 170.0 -
Thanks I definetly am keeping my eye on the prize. :-) I would love any suggestions on anything I could improve. I want to be healthy first and foremost. Thanks for your support!0
