Hurt My Back - Help!!!

I know there's another post on this in this group, but wanted to see if anyone has any advice on recovering from this? I started CLX last Tuesday. I must have done something during that first Burn Circuit workout to hurt my back because I was miserable doing the Intervals on Wed. I did a lot of yoga geared towards low back pain last week, but finished out the week of workouts hoping that movement would make it better.
Well, I had Sat and Sun off and I am still in so much pain! I cannot bend down at all. I cannot squat either. It hurts just sitting. So obviously I'm taking this week off, which makes me so sad. Any other advice on what I can do so that I can start working out again next week? I am taking advil. 3, 3 times a day. Other than that, should I just rest? Ice? heat? Yoga?

I have no idea if this woud be appropriate for you or not, but have you looked into Trigger Point massage therapy? I developed a really bad kink in my shoulder blade a year and a half ago very suddenly that made it difficult to stand up, move my head, lift my arms, etc. Pain radiated from that spot and my arm felt numb and tingly. Turned out it was a tense muscle that had been slowly getting worse and suddenly just gave out after a bad night of sleep. Several sessions of trigger point massage over the course of a few months helped me tremendously, along with ice and ibuproffen. But the big thing was that I knew it was muscular and not a slipped disc or something so I, personally, felt comfortable not seeing a doctor. It was also a stop gap measure for me as I was in so much pain on a weekend. That's not to say you shouldn't consider seeing one, though, because you sure don't want to make something worse.
If you do look into massage therapy, make sure you find someone who can do a good deep tissue massage and understands trigger points. Not all MTs are created equal. Some specialize in just fluffy, de-stressing massages. You might need a true therapeutic massage to help the muscle release and heal.0
