I joined today and have been ready through the great threads in this group.

Im a heavy lifter and yesterday decided to up my TDEE I wouldnt mind a little reassurance to know I have worked this out correctly

I have a desk job but I do work out 5-6 times a week so clicked on that option

I weigh 98 kilos (216 pounds)
Im 166 cms in height
Female

TDEE came out at 2658 -20% 2126 is what I should be consuming (which is quite scary considering I was at 1550 and found that hard enough to consume)

Your help and advice would be very much appreciated.

It sounds about right! You may want to consider a smaller cut though - 10-15% if you are close to goal.

One day at a time I would think. I too was at approx. 1500 and I up'd it to 1950approx. Took a few days to get used to that and some playing around with food/recipes etc. But the first two weeks I lost 6lbs....

I do want to lost about 6 more however losing bodyfat % as well as maintaining and hopefully gaining lean body mass I know I need to get up to about 2300 or so.....(SCARY and I am slowly wrapping my brain around it :)

Take it easy and slow so you don't get over whelmed and drop back and do it for a min. of 2 weeks.

    Best of luck!

Thank you. Im nowhere near my goal but I dont expect to be while lifting heavy. Im currently working on my friendship with the tape measure while I treat the scale as an old friend who has moved away from my area lol

    Is that 5 - 6 workouts in a week indeed 5 to 6 hrs?

I know many do split routines of about 30 min of lifting only, so that would only be 3 hrs for them, so they round up Lightly Active because they don't do anything else like other cardio.

Even 45 min sessions may allow a rounding down, or if 60 min may need to round up too.

    Hi,

Yes 5-6 w/o per week lasting between 30-45 minutes. I alternate lifting days I dont lift and do cardio on the same day.

Going to see how things go on 2000 cal its already a struggle to eat that much but I spose I need to increase portion size with the good stuff like vege and protein.
