Amsthegreat, Don't lose heart.... Yes I am in.... Just joined mfp on Sat. and just found this group which is EXACTLY what I told my grandson I was doing for lent! (except I said 30 minutes per day but 20 sure sounds more doable for me just starting out!)
My day #1 will be on Wednesday... hope this is o.k. I'm sure we'll hear from others tomorrow or Thurs. too.
This will be great to keep us honest and accountable... I will weigh in in the a.m. and measure (augh!) and promise to stay away from the scale and measuring tape for 40 days.
I will be doing something aerobic for at least 20 minutes per day and will log it in here.
I will continue to log in all of my meals, snacks etc. on my food log and try to do better with my totals. (finding I come up short on fiber every day so will try to keep increasing that)
O.k. there's my commitment... no turning back now! Looks like you have done tremendously and I'd love to hear your story. I am 59 yrs old and feeling it with about 35-40 lbs to lose. I lost 30 lbs about 2 yrs ago and felt fantastic, but I guess life happened and here I am again plus a bit more. (yeah "life happened".... how 'bout I got lazy and fell....NO, DOVE back into old unhealthy habits!)
Well congratulations on all of your success... you really worked hard to get here.... Looking forward to this challenge with a bit of trepidation but know you'll be there along with others to encourage, poke or prod as needed and I'll be grateful for it. Thanks again!

It's great to have you both here! And not to worry, you can start today. I just started a bit early because I will be having my wisdom teeth pulled in the near furture and will probably be skipping a few days afterwards. This way I have a head start on the days I have to make up.
I look forward to getting to know you and your journey.0
