Sore Foot & 1st 5K run on Sat!!

Hi all

Hoping I can get some pointers here. I've been doing C25K for the last 7 weeks. I'm now running 20 mins. But my first 20 min run was last Wed. On a treadmill - which is how I've completed it so far. While mid way through the run, my water bottle fell and I grabbed it, but did something to my left foot. I kept running although it was niggling me and completed the run.
Thurs, when I got out of bed I could hardly put my foot on the ground. Went to work (in high heels) and it was fine. Fri - not so sore getting out of bed, but I wore flats for the day and my foot was very sore.
Didn't run Fri night. Sat, it wasn't so bad so tried to run again - but had to stop after 10 mins as it got very sore.
Did a good bit of walking yesterday (Sun) in jodper boots and its again quite painful.

Its sore in the middle of my foot & the weird thing is, its really sore when I take my weight off my foot. Its not so sore when I stand on my foot. But when I lift my foot, thats sore..

I'm due to take part in my first 5k run on Saturday. I had planned to spend this week running outside as much as possible. I had also planned to be finished the C25k programme - which isn't going to happen now.

What advice does anyone have? Should I strap it up and see if that helps? Should I try to run the 5k anyway and if it gets bad, pull out. I really don't want to miss my first ever 5k.. I've never ran before. I was a sprinter in school. But I could never run any distance.

Any advice??

I'd stay off it and get it checked. I'm no MD, but I'd suspect a pulled ligament??? So sorry about your race though!
