Health Question

I have to take a blood pressure medication every day with a minimal amout of diuretic in it.
I am drinking my 8 glasses of water a day, and am retaining water that the diuretic can't take care of. I do very little salt and haven't for years.
This is my question...is drinking all the water keeping me from losing weight as rapidly as I would be w/o as much of the water?
I know water is important...just curious, or am I grasping at straws?

My fingers and ankles are swollen most of the time.

Have you spoken with your doctor about this? That would be the first thing I'd do. Second, you might not be drinking enough water. But DEFINITELY check with your doctor. There might be other options he can suggest.
