How far are you running?

I can finally force myself to run more than 20 minutes again. Monday, I "ran" for 25 minutes. Today I "ran" for 28. In that 28 minutes, I only covered 2 miles. I know endurance before speed, but I can't seem to get ANY speed...lol. I make sure that with my warm up and cool down I cover at least 5k which takes about 45 minutes.

How much distance are you covering in what amount of time?

Oh, I'm pretty slow. I probably average about 4.4mph, so my 5k is 40-45 depending on the day, indoor/outdoor, hills, etc. I even had one 47 min. I started just under 3 months ago, at 4mph with w1d1, so for me it's gotten better, but speed has definitely come slower than endurance for me. I just want to get to 5mph, we'll see when!

I'm with Jessie, I am pretty slow 4.4/4.5 mile when doing my pacing for the running part. I did wk8d1 tonight but I think I might repeat it as I stopped and walked for 2 minutes twice but I had a 2 hour workout in the gym earlier so it might have something to do with that but still want to make sure I can run those 28 minutes. I worry about my speed as well but glad to know others are doing it similarly. I just think any running is better than being a couch potato so I keep telling myself that. Even if I am the last one to finish a 5k when I run one, at least I will be running one. Good luck :) And keep up the good work!

i only did like a mile and a half in the 20 min jog, i have a bad left leg/foot so i'll never be able to cover the distance it says in the time it says, but i'm ok with that i just go by the time only and jog at my lil' turtle speed. :smooched:
