Metformin to Glumetza

So the Dr switched me to Glumetza (this is an extended release form)....metformin is what we are thinking is the cause of the on and off upset stomach and too many bathroom stops for ahem you know what lol OR he is thinking I've suddenly started with a case of lactose intolerance...drinking milk all my life so who knows.

Anyone else on glumetza? Finding any side effects?

    I looked it up. Glumetza is a slow release form of metformin.

    I take Metformin XR which is the US version along with long and short acting insulin. It has no side effects and you can take it once a day which is why I switched from regular Metformin. I prefer taking all my oral meds at one time
