Hi everyone. When doing squats and deadlifts do you factor in the weight of the bar when accounting for numbers lifted or just the added weights excluding the bar? I see peoples numbers reaching 3 figures and and wondering if this includes the bar weight or not so not sure if i'm recording right weight. Any help/advice appreciated.

I record weight including the bar. The bar at my gym is 45 lbs. Of course I'm going to count that!

If it has weight, and you are lifting it... record it! :)

Lol well that explains it. Did workout stage 1 A2 last night with 50 added pounds. I thought it felt heavier than 50 lbs. Ar any rate I need to move away from that smith machine. The range of motion did feel too unnatural.
