Hi there!
Two years ago I used the C25K app to go from a couch potato (literally) to being able to run 5K's then eventually a 10K. It was an amazing summer. Then going down the stairs I stepped into a 6-pack of soda my daughter left on the steps (really?) and tore up my heel. Next summer I didn't run at all. We had a miserably hot summer, and unbeknownst to me I was having thyroid issues too which made everything worse. Anyway, this year I'm ready to go again.
Having gone back to couch-potato status, I'm starting out by just building up my endurance a little by walking every day. I hope to start the program in a month or so, when my doc gives me the OK to run (just had surgery).
I look forward to getting inspiration and support from you all, and to improve on my running times!

Awesome! one of the things that I'm learning is that all runners need to start again at one point or another. I'm glad that you are showing us what that commitment looks like.0
