Update

Just wanted to post an update, Sara. I'm still losing at a slow but steady pace since bumping my calories from 1200 to 1380 and following your macro suggestions. I'm almost to my goal weight!

I'm thinking I'd like to start lifting (as soon as my weight room warms up a bit) and will slowly start increasing my calories as I go. Would 100 calorie increments be a safe bet? Maybe every 4 weeks?

    Thank you for the update.

I would up the calories by about 200 for about a month when you start lifting. The 100 cals a week before/after seems reasonable to me. You can also wait until you get to goal and then increase by about 100 - 150 cals a week until you get to maintenance. Either way is good.

What are your goals at the moment. How have your lifts been progressing?

At the moment, goals are not real specific. I want to get stronger, definitely. I'm envious of the numbers I see other women throwing out there. I just did a big reset to work on form after a feeling like I was stalling out on progression and a pinched ulnar nerve. My last two sessions looked like this (don't laugh):

    Wednesday
    SQ:
    2x5 45
    1x5 50
    1x3 60
    1x2 70
    3x5 89 (was 140)

    BP:
    2x5 45
    1x5 50
    1x3 55
    1x2 65
    3x5 75 (was 80)

    DL:
    2x5 65
    1x3 100
    1x2 120
    1x5 145 (was 160)

    Friday
    SQ:
    2x5 45
    1x5 50
    1x4 60
    1x2 70
    3x5 90

    OHP:
    2x5 25
    1x5 35
    1x3 45
    1x2 50
3x5 59 (not reset, but micro loading)

    PC:
    2x5 45
    1x5 47.5
    1x3 50
    1x3 52.5
    5x3 60 (was 75)

I'm going to keep micro loading for a bit until I feel like I've got my form down better. I have a full rack now which I think will help, as I seemed to be chickening out on full ROM with the Weider half rack. Even with the reset, I'm feeling pretty good with my progression, just wish it weren't so slow.

I still feel like I've got a higher BF% than I want, even though I'm ~10lbs lighter than when you two estimated me around 17-18%. I think it's just a matter of needing to gain some muscle as I'm right at being underweight according to BMI (5'10" and 125lbs). I'm certainly not cut looking, but getting a bit vascular in the arms and lower belly.
