I know for most of us our goal is lose weight, do a competition, be healthier or just feel better. While in church today the C.T Army came across my mind and I thought:

WHAT ROLE DOES FAITH PLAY IN YOU ACHIEVING YOUR FITNESS GOALS?

I know some of the Army may not be Christians but the purpose of the conversation is to discuss how depending on someone/something greater than yourself can motivate you to success.

Thanks for reading and keep posting it’s blessing the C.T Army.

    As for me I believe faith and fitness helps me in being a better Christian, man, husband, father, and son.

    *Christian- One thing I practice throughout the year is fasting, sometimes for a day and at times 2 weeks. It help me concentrate on Christ what He had done and my life and make my heart and ears more sensitive to those things He wants to reveal to me.

    *Man- Picking heavy things up and putting them down has always been defined as Manly. Men who are physically & spiritually strong exemplify strength and masculinity.

    *Husband- I know it may seem far-fetched but many times I relate remaining faithful to my diet and remaining faithful to my wife. As a competitive bodybuilder there are times I could slip a donuts or ice cream or something else no one would ever find out about but me and God. And the same with a woman Christ did not assign to me. As I practice faithfulness to my diet and dream I also never forget to put my family first.

    Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
    Ephesians 5:25

    Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute?(Someone who is not your spouse) Never! 1 Corinthians 6:15

    *Father and Son- REMEMBER FOR CHRISTIANS GETTING FIT IS IMPORTANT AND BY DOING SO WE HONOR GOD.

    Physical fitness is great but do not let it consume. If you are currently physically fit and spiritually imbalanced you have some work to do and it can not be accomplished in the Gym.
    8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
    1 Timothy 4:8

    Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
