Are you ready to March 4?

It's Monday here and I have huge deadlines looming. I'm doing freelance work for a news paper and this week I took on 3 stories plus a travel guide article I took on in January is due Friday too!

And then a kid gets sick so I had to cancel one interview.

Challenging but I'll get all my telephone interviews out of the way today and start writing them all tonight.

I jumped on the scale because I felt decidedly skinnier....haha...and I was right because I am now down a total of 5.8lbs showing a loss of 1.2 since Thursday. I'll weigh in again on Thursday.

It was nice to see the scale reflect my intuition.

I felt like I had eaten a comfortable amount and I am losing at around the 1500-1700 calorie range which is awesome. I'm patient and will be happy to lose the 40 at a slower pace if it means I can eat more.

The big challenge this week will be getting my 2.5 hours of activity. Likely will do it all on Saturday and Sunday if my husband comes home...no freedom to get out and walk with a sick kid and I need my alone time to write.

Oh well..we all do what we can but health first.

Cheers :)

  • Its monday :(

Spent the whole weekend in the kitchen making all kinds of food. Homemade salsa, cajun shrimp and crab boil, jerk chicken wings with coconut rice (no cabbage tho bc he came home with lettuce instead lol), banana fritters, red velvet cake, pesto chicken stuffed shells, and jamaican beef patties. went shopping with the oldest teenager and actually agreed on the clothing options. cleaned my house. allowed my 7yr old twins to come to the grocery store and still spent less than $200!! All in all I feel like i had a pretty productive weekend, even tho i did not get to the gym.

My weekend food choices were pretty good and i would have been way under calories if i hadnt indulged in my fantastic margaritas :) Which is one of the reasons I put most of this weight back on, I have a tendency to drink a lot of my calories.

The best thing about the work week is that I do have better control over my eating. I use the weekend as a free for all to eat what the rest of the family is eating. Praying for a good week :)

If you like your cocktails I would recommend making them sugar free....

I used to make a mojito with stevia but I'm sure you could make it with Splenda

I know some people don't like artificial sweeteners but others are ok and if you're gonna do the cocktail thing anyway lighten them up!

I have cut way down on my alcohol intake...for now...I think I would rather give it up now and drink them in the summer when I'm more in maintenance mode.

Sounds like you've got a great plan going, things are set and you're gonna rock this!

    Cheers!(sugar free)
