What was your fitness level when first started Insanity?

Hi guys,
After months of doing nothing, I started working out in September last year.
I’ve been doing Jillian Michaels workouts. They get tough at times but are nothing comparing to Insanity.
Last couple months, I noticed that I’m making up excused to not workout (no time, feeling sick etc.).
While I’ve lost 15 pounds since September, I kind of stayed in one place in 2013 so far (I still workout but only 2-3 days a week).
I have family reunion in 3 months and want to look my best. I know that change takes time. I only ask for 1-2” off my waist by mid June!
I was thinking about getting Insanity – I still have time to complete entire 60 days but I’m afraid that I’m not fit enough.
I know I should pace myself, do as much as I can etc. but I’m afraid that I will get discouraged if it turns out to be too difficult.
What was your fitness level when first started Insanity? Should I still go for it after doing only Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (done twice) and Ripped in 30?
Should I stick to Jillian Michaels and make sure to work out 6 days a week?
When I first did 30 Day Shred, it was really hard (I did not work out for months) but I pushed through it.
If I decide to go with Insanity, I’m definitely going to be 100% committed but wanting to do something and actually being able to do it are two different things.
Any thoughts?
Oh, and a question about meal plan. Is it really necessary to eat 5 meals a day? I’m a 3 meals a day kind of girl
Thanks!

I started Insanity right after completing a round of p90x. I think if you have done 30 day shred twice, you can do Insanity. Give it a go, just do what you can. I never completed 30 day shred, got bored.
I don't follow the meal plan but I find myself wanting to eat 5, sometimes 6 times a day since I've been doing Insanity. 3 meals and 2 (or 3) snacks. I say eat when you are hungry.0
