I work in a distribution center on a 'pick' line. I push a small cart down an aisle about 200 feet long. I"m constantly reaching above my head, down to the floor and everywhere in between grabbing small items and putting them in a plastic tote on my cart. Sometimes I'm taking baby steps between each pick, sometimes I'm power walking as fast as I can go between each pick, maybe the entire aisle. There's really no lifting involved except an occasional pallet (2-3 a day).
Every BMR/TDEE/calorie calculator I can find seems to determine activity level by how many workouts per week. (Workout?!)
I've lost about 60 lbs since I started this job about 18 months ago without changing much of anything in my diet, but it's time to get serious and get the rest of this flab off. The more I read about TDEE deficit the more I think this is the way I should be determining my calorie intake, not the 1200 calories MFP sets me up on.
I'm really at a loss where to judge my activity level to determine my BMR/TDEE. Should I just get a heart rate monitor type device?

Cindy a BodyMedia Fit or Fitbit would be perfect for you. Do you do any strength training? You don't need to add a drop of cardio but could benefit by lifting.0

Can you estimate decently how much you were eating on average. Perhaps fill in some example days in the Diary.
Then pick some past 3 or 4 weeks, how much have you lost each week.
From that, you can estimate almost exactly what your TDEE must be to have caused that weight loss - for that level of activity.
As long as you change nothing, it will still be valid, and it appears a great workout too.0
