Hi I just want a general opinion here. I've been here before and remember the general jist of things.

I weighed in at 196 on the 2nd Jan and was eating around 2000 calories. I weigh once a month as I used to get really triggered before so now I have managed to curb that. And I weighed the exact same on the 11th Feb and the exact same yesterday.

I have however done more exercise this year, going to the gym about 3 times a week for an hour and a half burning 1000 cals, combining weights more often and when I do a workout a home I burn anywhere between 300-600 for a 30-40 mins workout. So I set up on the scooby calculator as 5-6 hours of strenuous exercise as I think that fits in quite well . TDEE is at 2947 and with the -15% it is 2505.

The last month I've been eating about 2100-2200, I feel better both physically and mentally and clothes fit better, and my jeans are looser, but seeing as I haven't lost any weight should I do a reset or aim for 2505 for a while?

Thanks in advance =]

try to measure your body each month instead of weighing yourself. You will see results, especially since your clothes are looser. The scale isn't everything.I only lost 6 pounds but went from a size 20 to 16. I also lift weights and do cardio at the gym. If you arent losing inches then up the calories and measure yourself again in a month and see what happens. Good luck and congrats!!:drinker:

Don't do a reset, increase your calories by 150 and stay there for the next few weeks to see if any change.. if none, increase another 150. Don't eat exercise calories (record them as 1) and from looking at your diary eat more protein
  • Yes I was thinking to up my protein again. I tend to eat loooads of carbs as they give me loads of energy to get a really good workout in, I'm just warey that because I'm having more carbs, I haven't been eating as much protein. I'll keep messing around with my meals and try and get a bit more of a balance. I used to have about 130g protein and my carbs used to be around 180g. Possibly aim for similar?

Yes I measured in Feb and I'd lost 2 inches on the waist and 1 inch on arms and legs but other areas like my hips and just bellow my belly button went up an inch or 2. However like I said my clothes are loose, but my bras are tighter lmao and my jeans are slightly falling down they are a UK 14 and I can't fit into a UK size 12.

So it gets me wondering.. what's going on..

For protein your looking for a 1g to 1lb lbm, but to make it easy you can aim for 1 to 1lb of weight. So protein more like 190, and try to even your carbs with it.. Its a huge change, and we all love carbs but it can help in the long run.
