O.M.Ghee

So, I have been hearing about ghee (or clarified, paleo approved butter) since I started my paleo journey a couple of months ago. I never really thought I needed it let alone saw it anywhere in stores. Well, lately I have been having a hard time getting my macros where they should be and realized that, like everyone has been telling me, I need to up my fat count. This last weekend I made a stop at the organic grocery store and guess what I found...ghee! I promptly bought some and last night decided to make the eggs I would be eating this morning with it instead of my olive oil cooking spray like I usually do. So, this morning I tried them...OMG, they were REALLY good! So good in fact that I found myself kind of licking the container a little that I brought them in! So to anyone that is scared to try it, don't be. It's AWESOME! One last note, the container said to keep in a cool dry place...should I not put it in the fridge?

Ghee does not need refrigeration and will keep in airtight container for up to 1 month.

I'm going to try to make ghee in the near future.

Ghee is awesome! For people who have never tried it, it's really good butter! So, yes, it makes eggs super tasty! Also great for sauteing veggies. It's expensive though. At least the kind I found was.

I sauteed last night's broccoli in the ghee also...it was good! I plan on doing the same thing tonight!

if you take a block of butter and cook it on really low temps u can make your own.
eventually all the foam goes away, the milk solids separate and u are left with the butter oil.
it's very easy to make and not as expensive as buying ready made.It takes almost no effort either.
