Activity level

Hi All! I'm hoping you could help me out for a second. I'm trying to figure out what my activity level is. Here's the thing, 3 days a week, I workout for about 90 minutes give or take. According to my fitbit, I burn a total of about 2400-2800 calories on those high activity days. However, during the remainder of the week, my activity level is pretty low (I'm a grad student) so I'm burning about 1900 calories a day. I'm sort of at a loss about where to put myself activity-level wise since i have such extremes.
Any ideas? And thanks so much for your help!
Stats:
Age: 27
Current Weight: 142.6
Goal weight: Between 135-130 ... whatever feels best
Height: 5'4
Currently eating 1500 calories a day (eating some exercise calories on high activity days).

Here's what I would do if I were you...I did a little math based on your burns and came up with an average daily TDEE based on a "normal" week, which is what I assume you're referencing in your post...
It's pretty nice that you have a Fitbit so you know what your daily burns generally are...
So, if I use the low end of your "high" burn days:
2400 cals x 3 days = 7200 cals
1900 cals x 4 days = 7600 cals
For a total "weekly" TDEE of 14800 cals
14800 / 7 = 2114 cals / day for your daily TDEE
Now, if you want to "cut", take no more than 15% off of that number:
2114 x 15% = 317 cals
So, for a 15% cut off your TDEE, you should eat 1797 cals everyday regardless of exercise (I'd round up to 1800, lol! ).
Can you tell I'm a math nerd?
Anyway, that's what I would do...:ohwell:
If that number makes you nervous, just gradually add in 100 cals or so per week until you get there...
Good luck!!! :drinker:0 -
You weight loss goals are almost identical to mine. I am 5'3" (use to be 5'4"), I am currently 141 lbs and my goal is 135 then maybe I will want to see 130. Depends.
I eat 1200 calories a day on my non work out days and I do eat some of my exercise calories. With the type exercise I do, it is really hard for me to eat all those exercise calories. I normally average out at 1700 a day work out days.
Good Luck!0 -

Thanks so much! I like math nerds (mainly because I'm not one! I have a big appreciation for them!)!0
