Brew/Beer Themed Tattoo

I'm seriously thinking about getting a tattoo in the future when I reach my desired weight / fitness goal. I do not currently have any, nor do I suspect I will want to get a bunch more, but I would like to give myself a permanent reminder of how I was successful and that I never want to go back to how I was before...

Now obviously I would want something that has a longevity of meaning to me and not just any old thing in some tattoo artist's book. For me... That's beer, brewing, hops, barley, etc... (or some combination there of) I like the idea of somehow pictorially displaying the meaning of Water+Malts+Hops+Yeast = BEER!

Anybody got ideas out there and or anybody already got some brewtoos they would like to share on here?

    hm, so I can't embed this photo. Whatevs.. here's a link.

    some interesting hop ideas based off of a piece of art for the kickstarter that funded my local brewery....

    yeah, I know, I can't brain today... so don't expect much in the way of grammar and/or making any sense. I just love the idea of doing a hop, a piece of grain, etc. do them in a row or something?

    I'd love to do a stylized hop, piece of grain, etc. Just symbols based on the ingredients, but that's just me.

    sort of this, but with a different style.

    @Sjohnny... I hear ya, but I am pretty old so I might be able to stop myself. ;-)

    @Trogalicious... Very cool.

    I wonder, are there any cool language/runes for the ingredients of beer?

    well, as far as languages about beer.. you could almost reference Reinheitsgebot if you wanted. Doesn't get more about beer than the purity law of 1516.

    I am in the process of designing a new tattoo...i currently have six but none of them are beer related.

    My favorite beers are Belgians and saisons so my design is a play on the artwork from Ovila...some stone archways from an abbey with a monk(robed) in the foreground holding a chalice. I will probably include some hops growing on the stone and a bundle of barley. All of this will be done in blacks/grays, etc, shading work only.
