I lost 1 whole pound!!! YAY! 1.26% lost according to my calculations ;)
  • Oops, mistakenly posted this on the wrong week! So I'm reposting here:

Made a mistake on my starting weight: it was really 313.2.

Weighed in today at at 304.4. Total weight lost this week: 8.8 (gotta love that first week of induction, eh) wink

That makes my ratio, if I'm doing this right: 304.4/313.2 = 97.19

    I'll weigh in next week.

    Tom

And it looks like I calculated the ratio incorrectly. You know how us guys are about following directions!!!! :-)

Here is my correct number: 2.80

    Peace,

    Tom
  • Awesome job!!!

You don't have to worry about calculating the %. If you just post your weekly (or email it to me) I will calculate it. I made a spreadsheet and have everyone's weights. I posted the formula just so everyone knows how it's figured. The % I show on the thread is you % to date (not week to week).

    Keep it the commitment!!!
  • Got it!

I wish the first week could just go on :-). Somehow I doubt I'll have another 8-lb week!

That's a zero for me. At least it wasn't a gain

183, down another pound. For me, this carb cycling (read: binging) on the weekends seems to be working :)

Lucky! I wish it worked for me. I binged this weekend and gained back what I had lost during the week.

I'd be afraid that once I did carb cycling on the weekends, I wouldn't be able to put them away on Monday!!!
  • Great job everyone! Whether losing, gaingin or staying the same...you are here and you are trying! One the weeks I don't lose, I get frustrated. But I try to get perspective by realizing where I would be if I gave up.

For those who might have a stall, carb cycling is something worth exploring. That doesn't mean you can eat your carbs in Oreos (at least not for most  and if I could eat a box of oreos every weekend and lose weight, I would! ). It means that you vary your healthy carb intake from day to day to keep your body guessing. In a very simple example it means M, F you eat very low to zero carbs; T, S you would eat slightly above your carb level; W, TH, Sun you eat your regular carb intake.

    Thanks!
  • Welcome pegslicer! Please post, or email me, your starting weight.
  • MINI-CHALLENGE for the week:

Quite often we are in such a hurry in our lives that we miss opportunities to make moments for ourselves and for those around us. This week, let's make a moment. When checking out at a store, look to see if the person has a name tag...if they do then greet them by their name, wish that person a good day, using their name.

    Good Morning All!
It's a beautiful day here and my first weigh in on this challenge. My weight today is 270.2. Down officially 7 lbs since last Saturday. Not bad, not bad. Especially since it's TOM (sorry tmi). So anyway it's a good day-wishing all of you excellent weigh in days as well :)

    Stayed the same.
  • I started at 188 lbs, finished at 185 lbs (but that weight loss is measured over 4 weeks for me). I started the week at 24.43% body fat, finished at 23.68%. Neck stayed the same at 16.5", abdomen went from 39" to 38.5". Thighs increased from 22.5" to 23", Biceps increased just slightly, a 1/4" each.
