Concentrate

So, I am in the early process of doing a Whole 30. I am really trying to do the very best I can not to eat anything that is resticted. There have been a few foods that I have found that seem to be on plan except they say things like "apple concentrate or orange concentrate" on the ingredients list. Maybe this is a stupid question, but does "concentrate" mean that there is extra sugar or not? Usually I am seeing these in organic stores because I won't even go over to the packaged section if I am in a regular grocery store. Help me out here guys, I don't want to unknowingly make a mistake!

I'm not sure, they say small amounts of fruit juice are ok if absolutely necessary... I'm guessing probably not concentrate because that is pretty processed... I am interested in what others think.
I was also wondering about Molasses and balsamic vinegar... Are those ok? (I am on day 15 of the whole 30)

Usually concentrate means you need to add water to dilute I think, I am not sure if it actually adds extra sugar though, it should say on package if added sugar I would think??0

As long as it still says 100% juice you should be good. Not sure how to verify when you’re seeing it on an ingredients list though…0 -
one other thought, you could try looking in the whole9 forums or asking there:
