Not much to lose- what deficit works for you

I have tried a 500 deficit then 750 then 1000. At the end I lost slightly but this deficit was too hard to maintain. I'm within my healthy weight range.
How much do you have to lose and what deficit works for you?

If you really only have 7 lbs. to lose (like your ticker says), I'd go 500 or even 250 for a deficit. We are all different, of course, but I continued to lose near goal with a 500 deficit, altho not a pound a week at the end. More like .8. I was eating higher carbs at that point, too. I lose faster under 100g carbs, but can't sustain heavier workouts at that level. My weight loss slowed when I upped to 200g, even tho I was working out 6 days a week.0
